I have been fortunate to work with so many great companies over the years as a freelance CAD designer. I have worked on a lot of great teams with some really talented people from engineers to industrial designers. I started my consultancy in 2005. I worked primarily on eyewear and helmets with some great companies like Smith Sport Optics, Resolution helmet company, Trek, and Oakley. I have also worked with some really amazing companies here in the Salt Lake Valley like, OGIO, Skullcandy, and even the US luge team! As my consultancy started to grow its online footprint, I started working on platforms like Upwork and Thumbtack. Here I worked with all kinds of start up companies and entrepreneurs online. I worked primarily in the consumer product space, helping clients develop products and 3D printing prototypes in my studio. It was here that I teamed up with Product Evo and started getting more involved in production volume pricing and not just design. Beyond consumer products I have worked for some large industrial companies like Hardwick Machinery, Hoyt, and various manufacturing companies. When you have been freelancing as long as I have, you see a lot of companies come and go. Not staying in one particular niche has been good for developing a broad skill set.
