In house prototyping - Being a CAD designer for all these years has taught me the value of prototyping. In recent years prototyping has become more affordable and available to the masses. This gives us the ability to verify our designs quickly and in-expensively. Whenever possible I prototype my designs frequently as I go along and share the results with my clients. This is the best way to avoid any costly mistakes during production. With multiple 3D printers and a mini CNC machine, I can create most prototypes in my studio and have connections for outsourcing the ones that I can’t produce internally.

Production parts and tooling quotes - As a CAD designer I work closely with a company that can provide tooling quotes and production run pricing on molded parts, prototypes, sheet metal parts, and more. Product Evo and myself have completed and launched many products together. Working closely with large scale manufacturing companies has taught me a lot about how parts need to be designed in CAD for specific manufacturing requirements. Often times I will ask for their input early on in the design stages to ensure that I am producing 3D models that are optimized for production.
